You can switch a Magic Keyboard between Macs using Universal Control for seamless, automatic switching.

• Ensure both Macs have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on
• Both Macs are signed into the same Apple ID
• Drag the pointer from one screen to the next
  

Setup Universal Control

This is the most convenient method if your Macs are close to each other and support the feature.

1. On each Mac, go to Apple menu > System Settings (or System Preferences) > Displays.
2. Click Advanced: If using macOS Ventura or later, click "Advanced".
3. Enable the setting: Turn on "Allow your pointer and keyboard to move between any nearby Mac or iPad".
4. Connect the devices: Move your mouse or trackpad pointer from the edge of one Mac's screen to the other. The keyboard and mouse will follow the pointer automatically.
