Power BI reports can be viewed anonymously by using the "Publish to web" feature, which generates a public embed code or link that anyone on the internet can access without needing authentication or a Power BI license. This is suitable for sharing non-sensitive data publicly, such as via a website or iframe, but keep in mind that the content becomes fully public and searchable.
For internal or restricted sharing, anonymous viewing isn't directly supported—viewers typically need a Power BI license or app access through your organization. If you need more control, consider embedding reports in a custom web application with your own authentication logic.
To enable this in Power BI Service, go to your report, select "File > Embed report > Publish to web (public)", and follow the prompts—ensure your tenant admin has allowed this feature in the admin portal. If you're dealing with EU data residency requirements, confirm your workspace complies with regional settings.
